The Victoria State Government, as well as the Australian Federal Government, has the gigantic task of containing the Coronavirus outbreak.
It is our responsibility as residents and visitors to support this effort.
The Government created an exclusive hotline for the Coronavirus (COVID-19), to help all of us, containing a specific website where all advice and information can be found.
Direct Line – COVID19: (1800 675 398)
If you have any suspicion that you have Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), call the dedicated hotline – available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Looking After Yourself and Others
It is important that we, as individuals, support the prevention process by having good hygiene principles, which include:
- cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze with your elbow or handkerchief;
- dispose of tissues properly;
- wash your hands frequently with soap and water, including before and after eating or going to the bathroom;
- use alcohol-based hand sanitizer;
- clean and disinfect surfaces;
- if you are sick, avoid contact with other people and keep a distance of 1.5 meters from people.
Multicultural Women Victoria (formerly VIRWC), with this survey, aims to understand COVID19 vaccination rates, associated issues and where support is required.

How Can MWV Assist you!
The MWV team is here to help you to understand the advice from the Department of Health and Human Services and what it means for you and those close to you.
However, like most organizations, we are only operating online.
In order for us to help you, we ask that:
- Send us an email if you don’t understand government advice;
- Contact the Coronavirus hotline if you have any symptoms;
- Send us an email if you are not comfortable talking to an operator on the Coronavirus hotline.
To contact us, please send an email to projects@virwc.org.au
