We are a partnership of two multicultural organisations MWV (Since 1998) and ABRISA (Since 2002) – both in the Not-for-Profit Sector -with the same objective of providing values to the customer so their funding can go towards care as opposed to commission.
To make it possible, we also have a partnership agreement with a long
standing industry provider – Trilogy Care (Since 2020).
New Statement of Rights
The Aged Care Act 2024, commencing on 1 November 2025, introduces a Statement of Rights. This outlines the rights you have when accessing Australian Government-funded aged care services.
- Independence, autonomy, empowerment and freedom of choice;
- Equitable access;
- Quality and safe funded aged care services;
- Respect for privacy and information;
- Person-centred communication and ability to raise issues without reprisal;
- Advocates, significant persons and social connections.
My Aged Care
My Aged Care is the Australian Government’s main entry point for accessing aged care services. It offers information, assessments, and support to help older Australians navigate available care options.
The service is available to people aged 65 and over (or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples) and assists with finding the right level of care—whether that’s help at home, home care packages, or residential aged care.
Key Features of My Aged Care
- Single Access Point: Acts as the first step to access government-funded aged care services.
- Range of Services: Provides support with everyday tasks such as housework, meal preparation, transport, home modifications, nursing care, and respite services.
- Assessment Process: An assessment is required to determine eligibility and care needs. This can be arranged online or by phone.
- Find a Provider Tool: Helps you locate aged care service providers in your local area.
- Cost Estimator: Offers a tool to give an indication of potential fees based on your income and assets.
